Description

What's the future of domiciliary care in Northern Ireland? How do providers sustain top-quality care during a time of austerity and budget-cuts? Is the independent sector in safe hands?

It's an interesting time for social care in Northern Ireland: there's a new Executive, Opposition and health minister, the Health and Social Care Board is to end, there are calls for the reform of health and social care and a new Programme for Government based on “outcomes".

This Forum will be an opportunity to hear from key figures in the sector, raise the issues most important to you and be part of the discussion. We have designed the afternoon to ensure everyone will have plenty of time to ask questions and network.

There will be keynote speeches from Paula Bradley MLA, Chair of the Northern Ireland Assembly Health Committee, Rachael Gallagher, Senior Policy Officer at the Information Commissioner's Office (Northern Ireland), Eddie Lynch, Commissioner for Older People for Northern Ireland and Olive MacLeod, Chief Executive of RQIA.

Key benefits include:

  • speeches from key sector representatives in the social care sector;
  • ample opportunity for questions and comments;
  • lunch and refreshments included and
  • an evening reception for all delegates and speakers.
